6月15日开始，埃斯皮诺萨雪茄公司开始向零售商运送一款新雪茄，这款雪茄是601大爆炸系列，这个系列是2013年问世的。这次发布的弹头IX属于限量版。

雪茄56环径，6英寸，完美造型。头部比较尖锐，尾部呈宽锥形，类似空中炸弹。这款雪茄是全尼加拉瓜烟叶卷制，是委托A.J. 费尔南德斯在他自己的圣罗塔诺雪茄厂卷制的。这些烟叶里最有特点的是阔叶茄衣烟叶，要知道，阔叶通常是种植在美国的康涅狄格州。根据该公司介绍，这款雪茄的口味强度是中等到浓郁。

弹头产品第一次亮相时，使用的茄衣是康涅狄格阔叶。2021年埃斯皮诺萨公司在发布弹头7的时候改用了尼加拉瓜的阔叶烟叶作为茄衣。这些年除了茄衣烟叶更换，其他成分没有变化。但是每次发布的限量版的尺寸是不一样的。

弹头IX是每盒10支包装，在美国的售价是每支13美元，即每盒130美元。包装盒和烟标使用了较为夸张的五颜六色的配色方案，有点像二战时期经常装饰战斗机和炸弹的色彩方案。

这款弹头IX的产量限定为5000盒，即一共销售5万支。

Espinosa Premium Cigars has added to its armory of armament-themed smokes with the 601 La Bomba Warhead IX, which started shipping to retailers yesterday. It’s part of Espinosa’s limited-edition 601 La Bomba Warhead series, first released in 2013.

Measuring 6 inches by 56 ring gauge, Warhead IX is a perfecto with a sharply pointed head and wide tapered bottom that resembles an aerial bomb. It’s made by A.J. Fernandez at his San Lotano Factory in Ocotál, Nicaragua, and consists of all-Nicaraguan tobacco, most notably the broadleaf wrapper, as broadleaf is typically grown in Connecticut. According to the company, the cigars are medium-to-full in body. 

When Warhead debuted, it was made with a Connecticut broadleaf wrapper, but Espinosa switched it to Nicaraguan broadleaf in 2021 with the Warhead VII. With the exception of the wrapper change, the blend has been the same, though the sizes change with each release.

Shipping in boxes of 10, the Warhead IX has a suggested retail price $13 per cigar, or $130 per box, before taxes. The boxes and bands feature colorful artwork designed to evoke the nose art that often adorned fighter planes and bombs in World War II.

Production of 601 La Bomba Warhead IX is limited to 5,000 boxes, or 50,000 cigars.
