通用雪茄公司旗下的高希霸（非古）今年再次推出在多米尼加共和国卷制的威勒（Weller）限量版雪茄，这是连续第三年和威勒波旁威士忌合作开发限量版雪茄。今年的特点是雪茄的茄套烟叶（康涅狄格阔叶）在威勒波旁威士忌酒桶里发酵了一段时间。

高希霸威勒系列在2021年推出时，定位为一款可以和威勒威士忌酒搭配的雪茄。2022年时，这个系列使用了一款在酒桶里发酵的茄套烟叶。今年继续维持这个概念，茄套烟叶还是放在威士忌酒桶里陈化。今年的雪茄烟叶混合有一些调整，茄衣是尼加拉瓜的贾拉帕地区种植的烟叶（去年的茄衣是厄瓜多尔烟叶），茄芯是尼加拉瓜、巴西的混合烟叶（去年是多米尼加、洪都拉斯、尼加拉瓜的混合烟叶）。

今年限量版的尺寸只有一款，52环径（去年是50环径），6英寸，售价和去年一样，都是每支24.99美元。雪茄是每盒10支包装，和去年一样。

根据通用雪茄公司的介绍，他们从美国肯塔基州的布法罗踪迹酿酒厂将威勒波旁威士忌酒桶运到了多米尼加共和国的通用雪茄厂，雪茄在这里卷制。也是在这里，茄套烟叶放在酒桶里陈化，通用公司说发酵后的烟叶增强了雪茄口味的复杂性和浓郁度。

The Dominican Cohiba with barrel-aged tobacco is back. Weller By Cohiba, a smoke made by General Cigar Co. and developed in partnership with Weller Bourbon, has returned for the third time and it features a Connecticut broadleaf binder that spent some time in Weller Bourbon barrels. 

Weller By Cohiba was introduced in 2021 as a cigar meant to be paired with Weller Bourbon. Last year, the concept changed when it included a barrel-aged binder. The binder this year is barrel-aged as well, only the blend has changed. In addition to the broadleaf binder, Weller By Cohiba consists of a Nicaraguan wrapper from Jalapa and filler from Nicaragua and Brazil. It comes in only one size, a Toro that measures 6 inches long by 52 ring gauge with a suggested retail price of $24.99 per cigar. 

According to General, the Bourbon casks made the journey all the way from the Buffalo Trace Distillery in Kentucky (where Weller is produced), to the General Cigar Dominicana factory in the Dominican Republic, where the cigars are rolled. There, the broadleaf binder was aged for an effect that General says adds dimension and complexity. 

Weller By Cohiba comes in 10-count boxes and is a limited-edition release. It’s available now, but the 2023 allotment is finite.
